RIGHT THIS MINUTE, I WOULD GLADLY PUNCH CHRIS CHRISTIE IN BOTH HIS EYES AND THEN HIS NOSE. IF HE HAD HIS FACE GLUED ANY MORE TIGHTLY TO OBAMA’S BUTT IT WOULD BE A PERMANENT FIXTURE!!!

I think Christie is smart as hell.

1. Got money and waivers from BO for NJ.

2. Made points for his own reelection.

3. Had BO “ campaigning” in a state he is sure to win and out of Ohio.

Can we get them to waive the DEF too?

Thank you all-powerful, yet benevolent EPA.

“those rules shouldn’t even exist”

If Mitt gets elected he could order them to stand down. I’m betting he won’t.

Miles long gas lines

Running out

80% closed with no power

Possible 5-7 days for gas delivery

You’re looking at a real Armageddon-like scenario here in New Jersey. Mass transit it out of service, so anyone who needs to get to work pretty much has to drive. On top of that, you’ve got all these people who were smart enough to get generators installed at their homes after Hurricane Irene, only to find out that the supply of fuel to keep them going isn’t guaranteed.

I've got power, two vehicles with full tanks of gas, and enough food on hand to last me at least 10 days. I'm not too concerned, unless someone gets any ideas about siphoning gasoline from cars around here.

My plan is to stretch my resources as long as necessary, and if things aren't back to normal within 8 days I'll pack everything in my truck and head out to the Midwest until Thanksgiving!

Good thing the rest of the country is here to send help. That wouldn’t happen if a really big one hits.

National Guard from out of state and utility crews from many states will help put it back together again. Get the basics back in shape. The Red Cross and other private agencies deliver some aid, insurance companies should be doing their estimates.

and hopefully it won’t really take 5-7 days to get fuel delivered. They waived the rules on diesel maybe the EPA will waive those blends rules too.

Right you are.

Interestingly, I don't think it's so much a matter of getting supplies here from other states. I understand the biggest problem is that without power there simply aren't enough businesses open here to supply the things that people depend on. I'm not sure what the refinery situation is, and I know there is a disaster unfolding at Port Newark/Elizabeth with dozens of shipping containers toppled off their stacks, moved around by the storm surge, etc.

I suspect those are all people getting gasoline for their generators, not their cars.

“The EPA has approximately 17,000 full-time employees.”

This is how many parasites “work” there dedicated to ruining American businesses and individuals. They could care less just so long as they get their Federale paycheck. This place is full of activists, idiots, affirmative action hires. I doubt any more than 10% have science degrees
