Played w/ one last weekend. Interesting product but very much a Gen 1 also. Too heavy for a tablet & needs more power.
Gen purpose computing isn’t going to die, but the hardware we use will. Consider this: the PCs of the early 80s were 1000x faster than the ENIAC mainframe that took up an entire room. The tablets of today are 1000x faster than the PCs of the early 80s.
Right now we & s/w devs are still figuring out how to incorporate tablets into content creation. Once that’s cracked the PC box will be obsolete as a punch card reader.
$600
BTW the plug is reversible and it charges in both directions...so I’m not sure what he’s talking about.
Thanks !
Naaah.
Sounds to me like its the iSheep that need psychological help, not Ron Enderle, a guy who's reputation, sanity and soundness of mind I'd back against that of the mindless iSheep zombies any day.
Yeah?
How do you think those of us New Yorkers, who have had to do without electricity since Hurricane Sandy struck are doing in the quality of life department?
I think you're experiencing a lot of discomfort, unease, and inconvenience. Then you cherry-picked a 4-day old phrase out of context to voice your frustration.
Extended power outages are miserable, and I hope all gets restored rapidly so some normality can return.
What do you expect? You live in New York, the great Satan, The source of the liberal plague infecting out great nation.
Go to a play or to Carnegie hall or eat some truffles
iSheep? LOL okay...
I am really not into this stuff anyways so I will let the techies hammer it out.
(what is an iSheep?)

You are in my prayers.
Thanks, mate.
Agreed. Every platform has its strengths and weaknesses.
