I believe there was an assett, ether a predator or reaper drone, or Spectre gunship, overhead near the end that was armed and could have taken the target under fire.
The target was the mortar team targeting him that ultimately killed him.
Woods was a very good SEAL and he would not lase the target until he knew there was something to take it down.
Orders were given not to fire...that is my feeling about this. Plain and simple.
That has been my feeling all along.
That's the reason for the cover up, orders not to fire, treason and dereliction of duty.
