Yesterday Mitt Romney turned a previously scheduled campaign event in Ohio into a hurricane relief event. Romney asked supporters to bring canned goods and other supplies to help storm victims recover on the East Coast. He only spoke for ten minutes at the event and quickly jumped in to help load supplies. His campaign bus has been accepting hurricane relief donations since Monday in Northern Virginia. Sounds like a great idea right? Not according to MSNBC.
Reporters and anchors at the far-left TV outlet were appalled at Romney's efforts to give back to the community, after all, his charity and generosity doesn't fit with their "Romney is an evil rich guy who doesn't care about regular people" narrative.

Are these people sick? And yes you heard them correctly, they are actually criticizing Romney for trying to help people.
With all due respect to the Red Cross, they do amazing work, but they are also a large bureaucracy set up like the federal government. Andrea Mitchell made the point in the first video that Romney was collecting things "the Red Cross doesn't need" and that the Red Cross wants blood and money (which by the way, people like Mitt Romney are capable of donating large sums of money to organizations like the Red Cross because they are personally wealthy, something MSNBC has continually demonized).

“We took in many, many Katrina victims here.”
Personal ‘we’ or San Antonio ‘we’?
You are another example of...You can always tell a hero by watching which way they run in a tragedy such as that.
lol...so sorry. San Antonio. It was not the royal “we”. I do apologize. Forgive me....I am but a dumb dolphin...I have no porpoise in life...hence...here I sit. (If that makes no sense, please refer to prior insult)
Go kick rocks. You're not fooling anyone with your bullshit digs at Romney. She's either a troll, someone who is quite politically conflicted, or just your standard Mormon hater. Just look at her posts.
Not only does she watch MSNBC, she says she's not going to vote for Romney, she thinks Moochelle is lovely, "Gov. Christi has done a wonderful job and President Obama is doing exactly what is expected of the President"...etcetera, etcetera, etcetera
Could it be that you would feel more comfortable posting on the MSNBC website, DallasSun? They'd appreciate your comments about Mrs. Romney having bad taste in husbands and they'd really like reading "...no one who walks in girly, mincing steps like romney does, would ever use the phrase man up when talking to a man..."
And? Your point?
>It is not me......the Red Cross has said it. Time and time again. They have no one to sort them..no place to store them and no way to transport them to the flooded areas.<
Another reason to support organizations like the Salvation Army and Samaritan’s Purse. The Red Cross can pound sand.
I’d lay money that Romney’s only mention of Red Cross was to encourage monetary donations. I don’t think he linked the canned food to Red Cross. This isn’t his first rodeo, he knows who accepts only cash and who knows how to distribute the goods.
Also, MSNBC was being critical and snarky about Romney’s efforts, and are therefor worthy of MUCH criticism.
And bastardizing someone’s name is sooooooooooooo clever...for an 11 year old. If they are slow.
I completely agree. You are darn right....
Giving $$$ to the Red Cross and other large charitable organization is no different than giving $$$ to vagrants.
There used to be “homeless” begging for money outside a McDonalds I used to frequent in DC. I’d never give money, but would regularly offer to buy McDoubles or McChickens for them. Never had a single taker, so my conscience was clear.
I choose to donate actual items. If the Red Cross doesn’t like it there are PLENTY of other organizations that WILL take them instead.
Is that really unfortunate?
Can you point me to where he said he was collecting for the Red Cross?
Red Cross said they do not need the canned goods. ...F*** the RED CROSS! I’ve heard the food pantries, the Salvation Army and other community groups are begging for food, because of Obama. The red cross only wants money to funnel, slowly, down to where it is need. I wouldn’t give them the sweat form my b....brow. The Director wants a raise, probably.
Here. This is for you.
No. lol. I did not vote for Obama or Kerry. I am not slamming anyone. Good grief. I had no idea you were this delicate ..I did not mean to give anyone the vapours.
No. I cannot. Though it was on more than one news story that ran yesterday. I am sorry I cannot be more helpful than that.
Nobody is delicate. We just can’t stand liars. Funny you come on here, blame Romney for “pandering” for collecting for the Red Cross then whine when asked to prove it or (typical liberal) backtracking and claim all politicians pander.
DITTO!
The Red Cross during WWII charged my relatives for aspirins, etc and they never had anything good to say about them.
Give to Operation Blessing!
Romney’s heart was in the right place, and that is all that matters. He was raised a Mormon and they are all about stocking up for a rainy day.
These trolls forget we can search their past comments. I also believe DS was anti George Zimmerman.
There are thousands of food kitchen and churches that would gladly accept those food donations and see that they went to people in real need.
