I don’t think most Americans want to see this disaster politicized. I know I don’t. If Christie is satisfied with Obama’s response for NJ, what is wrong with saying so? That being said, my worry is now the media is pointing at Romney’s statement regarding getting rid of FEMA. If FEMA performs well, people will not agree with Romney.

You sound . . . angry. Gary Johnson not polling as well as you hoped?

OMG WTH is Christie doing????!!!! We could lose NJ and NY!!!!

Seriously, the only people that Obama will score points with on the hurricane are the libs in NY and NJ. Everyone else has a brain and cognitive thinking skills.

Christie is an egomaniac. He wants Obama to win so he can get the nomination is 2016. That was obvious when he gave his lame keynote convention speech.

I disagree. He is known nationally as a Romney spokesman. He cannot be perceived to be playing politics with the storm. He is going out of his way to be nice so the MSM cannot portray him as a Romney attack dog damning the President with faint praise.

I take your side in this. The last thing they need right now is for the Romney campaign, or his spokesmen, to be seen politicizing a natural disaster. Romney used his campaign bus to aid hurricane relief. That speaks volumes more than slamming Obama. I think Christie's playing this smart.

Are there any other RINOs that need “exposing?” I’m particularly concerned about the 2024 election. /s

Christie should avoid praising Obama. There are politically tactful ways to do so without hurting Romney. Unfortunately, Christie is playing to his left-leaning NJ electorate.

His demeanor in Fox & Friends this AM was troubling.

I missed that, but I'm more than disappointed - and somehow not surprised. Other news outlets (like ABC) are already reporting about the adoring things he said about 0.

Like you said, "Thanks, Chris!"

0bama excels in areas where the decision is so obvious that even a 5 year old would know what to do.

Otherwise, was Kissie damning 0turd with praise or
is he just a big suck up?

That was my thought. He’s subtly undercutting Romney to position himself for the next election.

Exactly. Why help the "media" manufacture the narrative that Obama is "leading?"

Obama’s only motivation is his image for the election. Sorry...but that is how I see it.

At this point, I do not know what motivated Christie’s “GREAT credit” remark about the present inhabitant of the White House.

I heard an O-bot here at work yesterday say "wow, this hurricane will give Obama a chance to show his leadership skills". Before Katrina, people didn't look to the president for "leadership" during and after hurricanes. Aside form declaring a federal disaster area, the POTUS has diddly to do with hurricanes. However, after Katrina, the MSM used it as an excuse to blast Bush for lack of leadership, thus setting up Obama as a " great leader".

I would have prefered to see tough-guy Christie continue on his line of "not caring about politics at a time like this" by not singling out the POTUS for acclaim because Obama hasn't got anything to do with it. We knew the narrative from the beginning would be "look at how great and studly Obama is during a crisis"; and Christie joined in with it.

Completely agree with you guys. Christie is shrewd. He knew exactly what he was doing. Christie is the type of guy who stabs you in the back with a smile on his face, and then acts offended if you have the nerve to call hi. Out on it! Ughhh! I can’t stand him, and I sure as hell would never trust him!

FU Christie. I’m without power and even im not blaming the guy I hate more than anything for what is a natural disaster. All I have to say is this country owes president bush a major league apology.

Okay, chill out. The people in those states have a real nightmare in their hands. It was a bad, really bad storm in a heavily populated area. We still don’t know how bad it is because they are just now assessing their damages and seeing if there are dead folks out there.

In fairness, many of us are so used to the MSM overhyping things, that when it is really bad, we tend to mistrust them, mainly because they play politics with everything and always twist it to aid the democrats.

The GOP Governors, like Christie have a giant mess on their hands an know they better do well or the MSM will skewer them. They also are going out of their way to keep Romney from being dragged in and accused of politicizing the storm. The MSM would love to do that.

I thought he went a overboard thanking Obama, but he was asked a question that would have dragged Romney into it and he reacted. He also looked exhausted.

just saying

Chubby the Hut tries to damage Romney so that he can have a shot at 2016. If that goes down... we will start on a new TEA Party November 7.
