I do get personally invested though dealing with forecasts

As a pilot, I much appreciate when my weather briefings are from passionate meteorologists’! ;)

In hindsight, I could have been more sensitive in a sensitive thread.

I miss briefing pilots. My job now is at the 30K foot level...not down operationaly where pilots live. I did SOF support for C-130's during OIF (and some F-15's too...). We had 40 sorties a SHIFT, up to 80 per day. Many of them were multiple legs...up to 6 legs...often to little strips in the desert I had never heard of. That's a LOT of 175-1's.

I also did a lot of Army aviation support early on. That was the MOST fun. They appreciate you...and reward you with lots of seat time :-) CH-47's; UH-60's; Hueys. Lots of fun.

Of course...fighter jocks don't listen to a word you say. LOL
