Romney super PAC goes up in Pa.

Mitt Romney’s super PAC, Restore our Future, is launching an 11th-hour ad blitz in Pennsylvania, POLITICO has learned.

ROF is going up Tuesday with a $2.1 million ad buy across every Pennsylvania market, including pricey Philadelphia.

The group will air a spot, “New Normal,” that lashes President Obama on the economy and is already up in other parts of the country.

The late push for Pennsylvania comes as some internal GOP polling has shown the always-elusive Keystone State to be within a few points. But other public polling, including a survey released over the weekend by the Philadelphia Inquirer, shows Obama enjoying a lead outside the margin. Romney’s campaign is not airing ads in Pennsylvania and the candidate himself has not been to the state recently. Paul Ryan recently held a rally at a hangar outside Pittsburgh, but that was partly intended for Ohio consumption.

Michigan is in play also, this is going to be fun to watch.

Ann Romney, wife of Republican presidential candidate Mitt, is slated to appear in Grand Rapids for a “special event” on Monday, Oct. 29.

According to the Romney campaign website, Ann will be at the Kent Victory Center, 725 Lake Michigan Drive NW, for the mid-afternoon stop.

Doors are expected to open at 3:30 p.m., with a program start time of 4:10 p.m.

The Grand Rapids event will follow an early afternoon appearance at Traverse City’s Park Place Hotel.

Ann Romney most recently visited West Michigan on Oct. 12, at Hudsonville’s Pinnacle Center. It was her second West Michigan appearance this year.

On Sunday, former First Lady Laura Bush, wife of President George W. Bush, stumped for Romney in Livonia.

Romney trails President Barack Obama in the state, according to multiple polls, though his supporters contend the former Massachusetts governor could still win.

Anti-Obama “super PACs” have spent $13 million on attack ads in the state, according to the nonpartisan, Lansing-based Michigan Campaign Finance Network
