If the election was held today, President Barack Obama would lose the state of Wisconsin because where his base is, we have not turned out the vote early," Mayor Michael Hancock told a Democratic rally. "The suburbs and rural parts of Wisconsin the Republican base are voting. President Obamas base has yet to go vote.
"We've got to get our people to go vote," Hancock said.
Early voting, which began in Wisconsin on Oct. 22, is a central component of Obamas strategy to win the state. The president won Wisconsin four years ago by 14 percentage points, but recent polls show the race with Republican Mitt Romney tightening, and that is fueling Republican enthusiasm about their chances of seizing the state. --snip--
Joe Zepecki, a spokesman for Obamas campaign in Wisconsin, said. But the numbers we are seeing do not back up his assessment that our base is not turning out.

BTW, this may be apples and oranges because I live in Illinois, but there’s not much going on here for Obama, either. I see few signs, even in the predominately black neighborhoods, and even fewer bumper stickers.
Or ask them the size of their testicles.
Together North and South make a whole country.
I have been in awe traveling by the Great Lakes seeing the ore operations, in the Appalachians seeing the coal districts, and out west seeing the big mining and timber ops.
When you add to that the railroads, the midwest breadbasket, the seaports and shipbuilding, and the aviation industry you can see why we became a world power.
It’s ours to lose.
