Hurricane Sandy From Space
NASA
Just in case you thought the Hurricane hype couldn't get any louder, check out this dispatch from Weather Channel meterologist Stu Ostro:
- History is being written as an extreme weather event continues to unfold, one which will occupy a place in the annals of weather history as one of the most extraordinary to have affected the United States.
- REGARDLESS OF WHAT THE OFFICIAL DESIGNATION IS NOW OR AT/AFTER LANDFALL -- HURRICANE (INCLUDING IF "ONLY" A CATEGORY ONE), TROPICAL STORM, POST-TROPICAL, EXTRATROPICAL, WHATEVER -- OR WHAT TYPE OF WARNINGS ARE ISSUED BY THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AND NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER -- PEOPLE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM NEED TO HEED THE THREAT IT POSES WITH UTMOST URGENCY...
- With Sandy having already brought severe impacts to the Caribbean Islands and a portion of the Bahamas, and severe erosion to some beaches on the east coast of Florida, it is now poised to strike the northeast United States with a combination of track, size, structure and strength that is unprecedented in the known historical record there...
- A meteorologically mind-boggling combination of ingredients is coming together:

It is nice to know they got some benefits out of their tenure, pretty girls did tend to gather.
Snotties and WOCs, some day you might have to say sir, or mister, but not today. ;)

Does it get to 20 degrees at night in the fall where you live?
And yes, I certainly can fix the infrastucture of an entire region that votes blue just for drill and thinks JFK stands for JHC.
There is also a shovel ready solution for you, but it involves chewing.
Thanks for your support.
Personally, We are all set...just don’t want to entertain the neighborhood agin for several days.
Come on.
Sign me up too... You forgot the Broken Glass...
WOLF
HAHA! No, I can’t imagine a grizzled NCO caring one whit about how handsome young Johnny looks in his nice shiny uniform. Or how rugged he looks all muddy and sweaty from some time in the pitch.
Ah, sweet youth! We had so much fun! BTW, I actually did get to attend a dance with a cadet once — he used to come into the flower shop I worked in and asked me to it. I was thrilled beyond words and had a lovely time. It was my first formal dance. I was 16. Strange how it seems both so long ago AND only yesterday.

Nope... I moved (if it gets down to 70 I put on my Long Johns)

Nope I moved (I think they once lynched a Politician just down the street from where I live, for being a Politician)

You shouldn’t have such “Great” Hot Spiced Wine, if it was mediocre they would go home on their own accord.
Good to hear that you are ready.. Prepper? (I am for just such an occasion, and others)
Prayers and Sincere Good Luck

Sssssssss...drip drip drip
What ever happens... Benghazigate ain’t over for them even after the election.
Well said tag.
Won’t they have to have electricity to power those live-cams?
Whorealdo said the world was ending tomorrow so I hope their batteries hold out so I can watch.
Thanks. I’ll watch some of them
I just looked outside. On a quiet tree-lined street in Queens that's normally full of cars parked bumper-to-bumper, there are currently more spaces than an 8 year old's smile. Where have all the autos gone? Gone to who knows, every one. And the ones which ARE parked on the street are very carefully parked between the towering oaks lining the street. I really wonder where everyone else parked their cars (I found MY sheltered parking spot Friday and haven't used the car since...). Did they leave town? Did they use one of those vacuum-it bags to compress their vehicles down to closet size?
Inquiring minds want to know!
