Sen. John McCain said Sunday that the Obama administration's handling of the consulate attack in Benghazi, Libya, on Sept. 11 has been a "debacle."
"For literally days and days they told the American people something that had no basis in fact whatsoever. And that is the president of the United States," Mr. McCain, Arizona Republican, said in an interview on CBS' "Face the Nation." "[Obama] said that he immediately ordered action to be taken ... no action was taken over seven hours. Now we find out the secretary of defense decided not to take any action."

McCain was booed at a town-hall meeting here when he rebuked a man who said he was "scared to bring a child up" under an Obama presidency. "I have to tell you he is a decent person and a person that you do not have to be scared of as president of the United States," McCain said to audible disapproval.
The man was one of nine who appealed to McCain to confront Obama more forcefully, several of them raising specific controversies dominating news, including Obamas relationships with Bill Ayers and the group ACORN. McCain seized the microphone from the hands of a woman who called Obama "an Arab," and scolded her.
"He's a decent family man that I happen to have disagreements with on fundamental issues," McCain said, to scant approval. In fact, the most rousing applause of the afternoon was saved not for McCain, but for a man who begged him to "fight" in next weeks debate.
So, Juan, we were all able to see Øbama for what he was back in 2008....it took you until 2012?
Go back under your rock.
McLame and his buddy Lindsey Gramnesty should retire.
I don’t like McCain and even think he betrayed his country in 2008...but perhaps he is speaking the truth this time.
I have little respect for McCain. However, at least right now he is calling the Democrat president and the Democrat party to task instead of what he typically does: move across the aisle and side with Democrats against Republicans.
McCain sucking around for a secretary of _______ post. Trying to lend a hand. At least he’s saying the right things now...finally.
He’s still a powerful senator and if he wants to put pressure on BO then I’m ok with it.
At least he was on CBS, so maybe some un-informed people saw it.
John McCain is a true American Hero and deserves respect. He was in a very hard to position running against the first viable black candidate for president. He also badly misjudged Obama. He realizes it and is speaking out strongly. We should be grateful that he is.
I’ve heard of leading from behind, now McQueeg is following from behind.
You’d think Juan was up for re-election this year. After all, he only feigns looking tough, conservative and anti-Democrat for the 6 months prior to his own election day!
why would he do this? he still has 4 years before he up for re-election. unless he is trying to get a cabinet position. which czar do you think he wants be?
I don’t like McCain.
But we need all the help we can get in putting this story out there over the story of the rain that is taking over the airwaves.
How the hell does a storm like this come along and protect Obammie the Scumbag Commie from his treasonous actions?
The success of the DNC is proof-positive that crime does pay.

Go take a nap John. Just like you did during the debates against obama.
Let the pros handle it. No one is interested in hearing from Mr. Maverick Across-the-Aisle anymore.
A senator’s words always carry weight and these are powerful words spoken about a shameful scandal.
Lots of people were nearly, or even completely blinded by their altruistic glasses they felt compelled to wear, because Obama (or whatever his name is) was pitched as becoming the first black President, if he won. They so strongly wanted to think only wonderful things about him that they were easily deluded. Many of these people have found that he has done things so terrible that even their glasses are finally starting to fall off. Let’s be glad that they may be able to see Obama for who he is now, and may start trying to tell others.
McCain was good today, his words were powerful and right on the screws. Schieffer was left blabbing.
Go away McCain.
McCain may have been a hero in Vietnam but he nearly destroyed our country in 2008 by running a lame-ass campaign and sticking us with 0bama. Not only sticking us with 0bama but telling us we didn't have to worry about it. Like Bob Dole in 1996, the man had no business running for president in 2008. I'm sick and tired of the "my turn" syndrome that infects the GOP.
I’m with you.
When you consider all the people who are saying NOTHING.
Well then...I can give kudos to McCain.
