WASHINGTON — The Navy said Saturday it is replacing the admiral in command of an aircraft carrier strike group in the Middle East, pending the outcome of an internal investigation into undisclosed allegations of inappropriate judgment.
Rear Adm. Charles M. Gaouette is being sent back to the USS John C. Stennis' home port at Bremerton, Wash., in what the Navy called a temporary reassignment.

According to maggief’s post (#40) which was the next one after yours, Carrier Strike Group Three, the Stennis strike group was deployed back to the mid-east.
Not enough info available yet to determine if it was within range of Benghazi during that time-frame of 9/11/12.
If not, then you would be correct that this is probably not related to Benghazi. This will all come out eventually.
Stennis deployed from Bremerton, WA and visited ports in Malaya and Thailand en route to the Arabian Sea.
Thus, it did not pass through the Mediterranean.
Well...maybe the Adm. Will come back stateside and spill the beans on Zero. I wonder if Issa could subpoena him to a hearing to answer questions?

So, I broke down after a contentious debate with my 28 year old socialist son and asked him just how bad does it have to get before the media pays attention....what worse needs to happen....what needs to be done in order for the progressives to report on this...his answer...right now, the only way to get the media attention is through a ‘live’, unexpected (otherwise it will be edited out) Romney statement. He’s the only one they can’t ignore, now, before the election. Romney must get involved.

This is getting to be too big, too wide, and too deep to keep it contained much longer. The military has been utterly abused under this bastich and the cracks are becoming chasms. I sense a seismic shift coming. Maybe a fullscale mutiny.

Oops! I KNEW it was Stennis, but but my wayward fingers keyed in Stinson. Doh!
BTW, Chaffetz went to Iraq to speak to Ham personally about what happened. He said they were never ordered to deploy help to Benghazi. Don’t know the rest of the story, but Chaffetz does so I figure it’s yet another shoe going to fall.
And, ten days ago, the Stennis relieved the Enterprise in the Arabian Sea.
