A new poll shows the Missouri Senate race is too close to predict a winner.
The News 4, St. Louis Post-Dispatch and Kansas City Star poll shows Senator Claire McCaskill with a 2 percent lead over Congressman Todd Akin, at 45 and 43 percent, respectively.
With a margin of error at plus or minus four points, and eight percent still undecided, the two remain in a statistical dead heat.

What is this "Missouri is leaning Romney? Last I saw, he has a double digit lead. Romney is going to drag Akin across the finish line.
I'm VERY curious, though, about McCatkill taking a week off the campaign right before the election, right after the $50 million dollar stimulus is made public. A week is a lot of time in St. Louis for her to clear up a few details, while using her dear ill mother as an Obama-esque excuse.
Yes, we are seeing what I already knew would be happening as we got closer to the election. It doesn't take massive funding to win an election, especially when your opponent is the most evil, corrupt, arrogant, obama clone that thought she could count on Missourians forgetting how she stuck it to us by being the 60th vote to pass Obamacare in 2010. That and all the other evil things she did to us including the latest scandal concerning her husband and her cover up of it. I predict the amplification from Mark as well as others in the next week to parallel the historical event that propelled Reagan during the week after his last Presidential debate one week before the 1980 elections.
We are in a war against evil right now and we are in it to win. Keep the faith my FRiends.

Rasmussen has this one in the Safe Democrat category. Stick a fork in him. Akin”s done.
Saved this post for after election comment.
Shoot the messenger if you want. It’s not going to change anything.
Rasmussen is the messenger. "Stick a fork in him. Akins done" is YOUR personal comment.
Rasmussen put it in the safe Democrat category. Same category as the races in California and New York and Michigan. They say it’s over. I don’t disagree.
Now you just say "I don't disagree."
Your earlier comment was "Stick a fork in him. Akins done". I call that a very PERSONAL statement that goes far beyond "I don't disagree". You are sending a very bias and hateful statement with words like that. It's as if you like to demean the man with petty comments like those. Reminds me of a little kid bullying his classmates during school recess.
I’ll be sending my donation today.
This walking on eggs is ridiculous and has to stop.
Yeah, Rasmussen and most of the other pollsters had Sharon Angle up, over Harry Reid in 2010 by about 4 points:
Rasmussen: 26 Oct 2010:
Sharon Angle - 49
Harry Reid - 45
Other - 4
Undecided - 2
And, we all know how that turned out!
I’m not giving up hope.
Cheers!
Nope. If Akin L-O-S-E-S, it’s on AKIN and only AKIN.
Mourdock shows the problem with the Tea Party primarying Republicans: who are they really putting forth? Only a blithering idiot would witness the Todd Akin fall out and be stupid enough to talk about rape as God's plan for women.
Besides, Rasmussen still had Nevada as a tossup in 2010. They have Missouri as safe Dem now.
My aren’t we thin skinned? Should I have said “he’s toast?” Or perhaps a more formal “Just don’t think Akin is going to win this one?” Argue semantics all you want, this was a winnable race and now it’s lost. A bad candidate was nominated, he blew it, and now a worse choice is going to DC for another 6 years. Blame me for it if it makes you feel better but the responsibility for this loss lies with Todd Akin.
Prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt. You can't. O ye of little faith.
Maybe the RNC staying away was a blessing in disguise for Todd? Seems to have fired up the base AND make the Dems think this race was in the bag.
Yes, Rasmussen is wrong about Romney; it’s going to be much worse for Obama than what Rasmussen shows!
One thing I’ve learned from watching the polls is that nothing is set in stone.
Cheers
No, Akin is a GOOD, CONSERVATIVE candidate! It’s the RINO’s who don’t want him going to Washington DC. They are the ones who grabbed the ball from the Left and ran with it, thus blowing Akin’s sure-bet lead against McCaskill. Had the GOP continued to support Akin after his ill-informed comment, he would still be leading McCaskill by a mile. It wasn’t his words that hobbled him, it was the GOP.
Cheers
Disclosure: I didn’t vote for Akin in the primaries, I voted for Sarah Steelman. However, unlike the GOP RINO’s, I’m not stupid; we need to get McCaskill out of the Senate at ALL costs!
I am in Missouri, and I would hate to guess how much McCaskill has spent on this, there are often three and four tv ads in a row from her,and various union groups.
If Akin wins this, he did it all on his own, no Missourian should ever send a dollar to the Republican part, only candidates, preferably Tea Party candidates
It is possible the Romney wave may wash Akin across the finish line but I am not sure. Living in Missouri and watching her ads over the years it is clear Claire McCaskill is one of the toughest campaigner’s I have ever seen.
