yep...that's pretty much the explanation !

Now why didn't

1. Panetta go ballistic and resign,
2. Hillary go ballistic and resign,
3. Petraeus go ballistic and resign,
4. Any of the Joint Chiefs go ballistic and resign,

Well, 1 & 2 its pretty obvious they are corrupt venal amoral career politicians.
3 & 4 very disappointing but I guess not surprising in this day & age!
Panetta, I was thinking better of him, he protected agency people when Holder was going to put them in jail for doing a what a presidential finding had already said was legal, and he kept the focus going on the UBL raid. I guess his inner “fool” pulled him back to the dark side.
Now 2, Hillary another example of her utter incompetence when it comes to leadership, strategic awareness and political skills. If she would have resigned in a “big way” over this she could have “spun that” into her being a principled heroine. But no she ran for cover just like the rest of them! She is done as far as having a political future!

I have said before, 'What do people see in her?'. She has done nothing on her own! NOTHING!! !If you looked up the term "strap hanger" in the dictionary you would see her staring back ! (A ghastly sight!)

Generals like Petraeus and the Joint Chiefs don’t get there with playing politics and kissing ass like crazy. They are obsessed with their own little power trips and I would be amazed if any had the “stones” to say anything. We have to come to the realization that we have pu**ies in the military and not everyone is John Wayne. We have good leaders downstream but they are they ones who will never get “bumped up”. Don’t make waves is the moto of the military and unless in times of “real” war it has been our motto for many, many years.
Remember the Civil War? The north got its ass kicked until Lincoln had the “stones” to keep Grant in command. A drunk, but a drunk who won battles and eventually a war. For my money Ronnie was the last President with real “stones.”
