In an interview, I heard Smith’s mom say she asked to see her son and was told it was ‘too late, already on the plane’ or something like that - she never got to see him. I would think the bodies would be given to the next of kin, but wondering in this case if the government didn’t maintain control. Three ostensibly were not subject to any mob action, unlike Stevens. An autopsy of Stevens would surely confirm or put to rest the rumors of what happened to him as he was ‘kindly’ being dragged through the streets by the mob to the hospital.
I would certainly be talking to my Senator about that, and try to get them exhumed.
Does the Government think they still OWN, as personnel property, the dead bodies?
In no way am I disparaging Mrs Smith, but we have to remember those are decisions made by the next of kin. In this case it would have been Sean’s wife. I have no clue about the circumstances, but it is possible Sean’s wife wanted his casket closed.
On this one particular item, more info is needed before I can come to the conclusion that the US denied her access based on anything other than the wishes of his widow.

I too heard Sean Smith’s mother say that and I caught something about “the plane” but it wasn’t clear what she meant. She did motion with her hand as tho’ the plane was “out there.”
That was a tough interview to watch as the mother was clearly distraught. That was Judge Jeanine’s show, right? She seemed uncomfortable and uneasy with the poor woman and didn’t quite know what to say. But from what I saw a couple of nights ago, she’s really fired up now when she usually stays away from politics - she is one ticked off lady!! Along with Megan Kelly - you can see fire in her eyes and voice about this subject!
A pitiful situation for everyone involved. It is truly sad that the people in this country who refuse to watch FOX or use the internet are totally ignorant of what has been reported about Benghazi, hence their vote will be cast for Doofus I and Doofus II in 11 more days!
