If all of this is true then it also means that they threw the maker of the video under the bus. He has had numerous death threats - along others involved with the video.

I think the video WAS shown in Egypt by Egyptians trying to stir up trouble on the 11th. (There was a planned demonstration, I believe, planned for that day, prior to any video airing in Egypt.)
The problem is, is that the administration, the CIA, the military, or ????, tried to say what happened in Libya was because of that video. It WAS a good diversion since a lot of people had seen what happened at the Egyptian Embassy. At best, it was wishful thinking on “whoever’s” part that the video had anything to do with Libya.
