I was typing as I was listening, so I may have missed a name. But remember what Travis McGee made clear yesterday...Only one person in the US is authorized to make that decision. POTUS.

This will go up the chain to the WH. My guess is somebody was under orders not to wake up the POTUS. They want to keep that fact under wraps.
