Eastern Washington State (Tri-cities) Seen mostly Romney signs so far. But, today I saw my first Obama sign. And it had a great big red “X” through it.

Note, this area is very conservative, unlike most the rest of WA.

SE Montgomery County PA. This area has leaned democrat for the past 15 years. I am seeing about 3-1 Romney over Zero signs lately. Up until this week the Zero signs were about invisible. I am not seeing a lot of bumper stickers either way. I saw one nauseating “Another Mama For Obama” sticker, and I thought a good response to that would be a sticker that had “Another Mama with a Brain: Vote Romney/Ryan”. I commute into Philly every day and see more Romney signs. Also, lawns that were painted with Obama signs last time have nothing this year. My wife’s sister who voted for the Chair last time is voting Romney. She is a typical soccer mom, Oprah- watching type. I had another soccer mom compliment on my R/R auto decal. There’s hope here.

Seattle, WA.

Our weather here is just turning consistently rainy and the grey skies match the mood, or seem to match the mood, of the bed-wetting liberals.

2008: Where I work(ed), U of WA (one of the worst bastions of liberalism run-amok), the sense of euphoria for Bambi was disgusting in its sycophancy and willful blindness; otherwise intelligent and edumacated people (staff, faculty, students) were giddy with anticipation for the Won and that HopeyChangey he promised. Then the economy took a turn, almost right after he was shoehorned into the White Hut. Mass layoffs at the U of WA (including yours truly). I had a job when Bush was President.

2012: Back to work at the U of WA (thank God for any job). This place now feels like it should be placed on suicide watch. The sense of stunned depression and anger is more than palpable. People I know who voted for the Won in '08 won't/can't even look me in the eye now. There are days when I feel I'm the only conservative in this place.

I haven't seen any signs, any student rallies for the Won, the local school fishwrap seems to be covering only the State races (like Maria Can't-Vote-Well, who was here a few days ago). My department is as quiet as a tomb, and only the older tenured professors are barely mentioning the debates / the Won, and that only in whispered conversations. I've seen no yard signs or business signs in support of Bambi, during my, albeit, short commute.

The Debates: I must admit that I did not watch any of them. When I listened to the radio the next morning(s), I was expecting there to be an outpouring of support for the Won, but it was, for the most part, dead air. I would have thought that the Won would have (at least in Seattle) gotten more attention. The few discussions of the debates were more about how Romney is a liar/Mormon/evil/liar/bad-for-America/liar/_____ and almost nothing positive to say about the Won's debate performances (when the radio personalities even mentioned his name). Petulant silence and petulant rage (you'd have to live here to understand just how shocking this is from four years ago).

I hope all those bed-wetting liberals and white-guilt white people, if they can't/won't do the right thing--hold their noses and vote for America, at the very least, just stay home and not waste America's time (and that includes some in my family).
