You know, I have, in moments of ire, called Romney a socialist in squabbles with leftist pols and editors in my own country. On examination, of course, he’s not. He may be just what the doctor ordered.
Well put. The most successful superior I’ve dealt with in my career was a man of very few words. Let them hang themselves in the silence.
It may indeed be time to get that bottle of champagne and put it on ice, but I’ll wait a couple more days to be sure.
However, I can’t help but feel a bit smug these days. I have been saying all along that Mitt is very smart, he has a plan, he’s working that plan, and that he does not deviate from it on the spur of the moment.
Everything is war-gamed. The debate was a classic. Obama’s horses and bayonets line is already backfiring, Libya continues to implode, polls continue to favor Romney. Mitt is doing exactly what he should be doing now.
He’s staying out of the way and letting the Democrats and their media flunkies flail about like demented chickens.
Or both. With the money they’re taking in, I’d be very surprised if Team Romney isn’t staffed with some of the best people in the business.
