Perhaps the most radical change in U.S. foreign policy under President Obama has occurred here in Egypt, where the Muslim Brotherhood, long shunned as a collection of dangerous Islamist extremists, is now the de facto object of American support.
Not only that: Ultraconservative Salafist politicians, who make the Brotherhood seem like moderate pragmatists, are now regular visitors to the U.S. Embassy and, on the theory that it is better to have them inside the tent than out, they are able to visit the United States to learn how things work in the land of Jeffersonian democracy.
Of course, the new American thinking goes, agreement will never be possible with these Salafis on women’s rights, for example, but this does not mean that they cannot have a mutually beneficial relationship with the West or evolve. Every Salafi in Parliament is one less potential jihadist.
The turnabout is dramatic. The United States consistently supported former President Hosni Mubarak, whose campaign against the Brotherhood was relentless.

Well, I can maybe imagine Obama in a tryst with Bill Clinton, since Bill is an older, white male and all, but Hillary..., nah, not even in jest. She is the wrong sex for Obama.
If that's correct - and I think it's almost impossible to draw any other conclusion - I want the 0 administration and the Slimes to just be honest and fess up. Yes, we favor the establishment of radical Islamist states. Yes, we favor the eradication of Israel. Yes, we look forward to the creation of a new caliphate and the imposition of Sharia law. Because, as you say, that's precisely what this policy means.
Behghazi was long known as a hotbed of AQ support, sending more jihadists to fight the Amriki in Iraq and A-stan than any other region.
When Obama decided to intervene in Libya, was when Q began to attack Benghazi.
The final effect was to protect AQ in Libya.
Then Obama left a “naked” consulate there, as a sign of our good faith. The Brits left, the Red Cross, everybody. Too insecure.
But Obama kept our “naked” embassy staff in place, surrounded by black AQ flags.
And like the Aesops Fable about the frozen viper and the farmer, the viper struck us as soon as it could. Only Obama didn’t get the venom, our embassy staff did.
I sense a frog / scorpion moment in the future.
