Sounds good to me. His proper role as a Bishop of the LDS was certainly to inform this woman that abortion is wrong, because it murders an innocent child.
As for the other, "much worse" case, it sounds to me as if the woman's doctor repeatedly screwed up, and then told her to have an abortion, to cover up his deadly mistakes. She should be suing the doctor, if anyone. He sounds like an incompetent killer who should have lost his license to practice.
Except that isn't the Mormon position on abortion.
The Mormon position is the same one that Bishop Romney quietly returned to on August 27th, when he rejected the Republican Party Platform on abortion in this CBS interview.
PELLEY: Well, the platform as written at this convention for the Republicans does not allow for exceptions on abortion with regard to the health of the mother or rape or incest. Is that where you are?
ROMNEY: No. My position has been clear throughout this campaign. Im in favor of abortion being legal in the case of rape and incest, and the health and life of the mother.
