Most Minnesotans are probably not aware that our state has recently seen more convictions for voter fraud than any other state since 1936.
The overwhelming majority of those convictions stemmed from felons (rapists, murderers, gangsters, drug dealers, et al) voting while still under the supervision of the Department of Corrections.
Thanks to a non-governmental organization, we brought some ineligible voters to justice, with 200 convictions since the 2008 election.
Prosecuting felons who willfully voted while ineligible is difficult to do under Minnesota's election laws, since it must be proven not only that the person voted while ineligible, but also that he or she knew it was a crime to do so. Most provable cases of voting by ineligible people went unprosecuted after the contentious 2008 election, simply because the ineligible voters said, "I didn't know." The convictions, however, were of people who were proven in courts of law to have deliberately committed fraud.
Convictions are just the tip of the iceberg.

Now the left claim were MORE HONEST than any other state! We have no need for voter ID like other states!
I’ve seen the following called voter suppression:
1. Requiring a picture ID
2. Signs warning fraud is illegal
3. Poll watchers.
4. Not letting illegal aliens and felons vote

Oh, this cant be. Its impossible and could NEVER happen here...
With the computer techonology available today it shouldn’t be hard to keep the voter registration roles purged of felons, deaths, name changes, address changes, etc. The persons name who is involved could be sent to the voter registrar for checking against the registered voter roles and appropriate actions taken if found to be registered. It would take some time to set the system/process up but once done it would help immensely in keeping the roles purged. JMO
3 dropped as voter registration workers after felonies flagged
apparently WI figured out how to do it...
Simple solution.
Voter ID.
Purple ink on index finger.
No early voting.
Would be no fraud.
Not exactly. Franken won the recount, with the assistance of a scumbag Minnesota Sec. of State and several boxes of ballots that were “found” in Democratic stronghold districts after the election.
Its already too easy to vote.
How can “I didn’t know” work as an excuse. I would be VERY surprised if they weren’t warned when released or paroled “You are not eligible to vote until this date: _____”
If such warnings aren’t provided, then the Dept of Corrections is VERY stupid.
Their release papers should clearly put it down in writing — “You are eligible to begin voting on ______ . You will be breaking the law if you vote before then and will be subject to arrest and conviction for voter fraud. s/ _____________ . “
How hard is it to do that?
Minnesota lesson for Wisconsin on voter fraud.
FReep Mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list.
The lesson here is to vote straight Republican down ticket to give Scott Walker the resources to change our voting laws.
1) Expunge registration at the polls.
2) Restore photo voter ID.
3) Replace the GAB.

Ive noticed thats the new Dem talking point here in MN.
Dems only count a person voting while impersonating another as fraud now.
Felons voting doesnt seem to matter to them now (we have Dems actually trying to pass laws here to allow felons to legally vote)
My conclusion is they think its fine to allow felons to vote NOW, otherwise theyd tighten the law to exclude being able to claim
Ignorance of the law as a valid claim to avoid prosecution.
How many laws have you ever heard of where you can avoid prosecution by claiming “I didn’t know it was illegal” ?
