The Israeli navy seized an international pro-Palestinian activist ship on the Mediterranean high seas on Saturday to prevent it breaching Israel's blockade of the Gaza Strip, a military spokeswoman said.
She said no one was hurt when marines boarded the SV Estelle, a three-mast schooner, and that it was rerouted to the Israeli port of Ashdod after it ignored orders to turn away from the Hamas-governed Palestinian enclave.
The Estelle was carrying 30 activists from Europe, Canada and Israel, humanitarian cargo such as cement and goodwill items such as children's books, a mission spokesman said on Saturday.

“The IDF spokesperson added that any organization or country wishing to reach Gaza or move humanitarian aid is able to do so legally and orderly at all times through land passages and in coordination with the Israeli authorities.”
What’s wrong with doing it this way? Nothing, unless you have bad intentions.
Or are willing to establish a precedent. Bring in medicine and construction materials for a few shipments, then start bringing in the bad stuff once a few boatloads have been proved to be strictly humanitarian. That's how I'd do it.
Cement and childrens books? What strange drugs they partake in to think they need emergency shipments of cement, that they can buy anywhere in Israel or that Muslims want childrens books that dont speak of suicide for the cause.
Even Big Bird on Muslim TV talks up suicide for teens.
Someone has drank the coolaid.
