“Down East, it’s don’t let the black flies bite!”
That kind of sounds like what we call, ‘horse flies’. They are BIG, hurt and can draw blood when they bite.
The black flies up here are not huge,
but they have a mouth like a bear trap.
They also anesthetize you before they bite!
