IIRC every election year is the same MSM liberals doing the moderating.

What if the Republicans said.. No! Not this time?

The elderly 1960s Marxist-Alinsky campus radicals (psycho spoiled brats) and their bratty ideological issue would disrupt the debate. They would never allow a "debate" to take place without their guy being the moderator.

Tom Wolfe's book Radical Chic & Mau-Mauing the Flak Catchers described them.. and the establishment MSM back then gushed that these Marxist-Alinsky campus radical, psycho spoiled brats were the most intelligent generation ever!.

The demonstrators are mau-mauing flak chuckers protecting their ideological heroes and their heroes are of course the Rat Party and MSM employees.

The only thing worse is people here still whining about Romney while he is 7 pts up and ready to earn a landslide win.

If Romney had boycotted the debates, he would have been crucified in the media.

I'm not suggesting that, not for a second. As you said, that would be a complete disaster.

But this is what I am saying: No way should Romney have just quietly accepted this situation. I know, the "commission" makes all the debate decisions. But Romney should have quietly, and publicly, registered his concerns when the lineups were announced.

After all, you can bet the Obama camp would have said something - and loudly - had the commission chosen Sean Hannity as debate moderator.

Romney had him on the canvas on Libya and Crowley rang the bell early. But he has to think about this until next round and worry about how he will respond. But EVERYBODY knows he was lying.

R is going to pummel him over and over about this and Fast and Furious. His poll numbers are going to plummet after that.

There were no moderators for the Lincoln-Douglas debates, and it certainly didn’t hurt the quality of the debate.

And they are wondering why they were powerless in 2000, 2004, 2008 and now. Event pass them by sputtering about some “principle” or the other.

Touche! You've got a point there. I suppose I'm just a bit nervous that Romney is not up by more.

I like your take.

We should be able to take the enemy in their home court, the message and the Truth is clearly that strong.

But, once in a while, the home court advantage ( Like Laura Ingraham) would be kick-ass.

The current GOP structure doesn’t get that, though. The time for old-style civility and aquiescence has to end- we don’t have the luxury of time anymore.

Well cinch up your helmet and get back in the game. This is about saving the country not whining about Romney.

I’m of the opinion that this was better for the country than if there had been a neutral moderator. Romney was able to demonstrate he has the mettle to not only BE President, but also to take on the liberal and biased media by taking them to task. The country was able to watch this unfold, where, with a neutral moderator that would not be the case. Obozo being held accountable by a moderator would have, I believe, given the left ammunition they should not have been provided. This way Obozo was disarmed and effectively.

Well, yes. But it's also about calling it like you see it. Every four years without fail, the GOP gets set up in an unfair debate situation. And the GOP leadership does nothing about it. Like it or not, Romney is part of that leadership.

It is Romney's duty NOW to say something about this. Issue a quiet public statement of concern before the debate, at the very least.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, suppose the debate commission had picked Sean Hannity as the moderator. Don't you think Obama's people would have protested? They would have been on every morning talk show.

I expect Romney's people to do the same. To do otherwise is to let the rotten system continue.

I like Anderson Cooper—I even tape and watch his daytime show. I believe he has integrity—very scarce in the MSM nowadays.

Well sure! By THAT logic, why even run as the republican nominee?

This is exactly what the GOP RINOs have done to us over the past 30 years and look at what we are at now; an election that may be our final grasp at saving our country, our heritage and freedoms.

If Obama wins due to the timid demeanor of the Republicans we are toast.
