The only Indian-Jewish politician I know of, Jacob-Farj-Rafael “JFR” Jacob, is a member of the Hindu Nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party. General Jacob was a hero of the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971, liberating half of Bangladesh by bluff. (Jacob is also well regarded in Bangladesh, although he is despised by Islamsts). After retiring from the army, General Jacob became the BJP governor of Goa and then Punjab.
