I don’t think he was befuddled. The “look” Romney gave Obama when he asked Obama the question the second time was exactly the same look any good father would give to a lying teenager when the father knows the teen is lying, and is giving him a chance to ‘fess up. And when Obama replied, “Proceed,” he sounded like a haughty teenager who’s learned what he thinks he is a high-class-sounding putdown and has decided to try to show up Dad. Never in American history has any President looked smaller and more peurile, worse than Jimmy Carter with the killer rabbit, worse than Richard Nixon with “Well I’m not a crook.” Obama’s chickens comin’ home to roost...
It's clear that most felt this way also. Thanks, y'all, for your keen observations that improved my understanding of what went on. I was not able to see/hear the debate. I got some idea from other articles, but not as good as you have recorded. I appreciate it.
