Less than three weeks after parting company with TRN Michael Savage will now be syndicated by Cumulus. His show, "The Savage Nation" will go live on Tuesday, October 23rd. Co-chief Operating Officer John Dickey said, As we aggressively create radios most compelling mix of show hosts the addition of Michael Savage is a milestone in our determined efforts to provide our listeners nationwide with the best programing in the business."
In late September, Savage said he would be off the air for "some time." according to his website. He posted a message on his website that said, "after a grueling legal battle that cost him and his family dearly, Michael Savage can announce he won." Savage filed a lawsuit against TRN in 2010 over his contract and says he is "now free to work with whomever he wishes in the radio industry from this day forward."
Thanks, I just signed up, it looks easy enough but one question that doesn’t seem to be answered on the site. If a Savage show ends at 12 am est, how long will it take for it to be available to download to one’s Itunes player?

Well, I am not sure. It may very well be instant, but I have not needed to know.
I have only Rush on my schedule, as he is on while I am asleep.
Savage will be on mid-day for me, so I will not usually need DAR for his program.
You should play around with the service and get to know it.
I guess we have a few more days before Savage is back.
Nice list, thanks.
Rats.

There were stations that carries it delayed before he went off air. There will probably be some when he comes back.
Waiting to hear the official word. The following is from
Radio-Info.com; O&O means owned and operated of course.
Cumulus syndicates Batchelor (not sure of his fate?), Geraldo, Huckabee, and Mark Levin
>>Cumulus will want to put him on as many O&Os as possible so heres a rundown of what programming airs during the live broadcast time of Savages soon-to-be program. In San Francisco, O&Os KGO and KSFO air a local evening news show and its own syndicated John Batchelor program respectively; WABC, New York airs Batchelor; KABC, Los Angeles airs its own syndicated Mark Levin; WLS-AM, Chicago airs the last hour of Premieres Sean Hannity followed by Levin; WMAL, Washington airs Batchelor; WBAP-AM/FM, Dallas airs local host Chris Krok; and WJR, Detroit airs Mark Levin. With Savages program to debut next Tuesday, October 23, look for some programming changes on Cumulus Media O&O talk outlets.
Not sure about Bachelor show. From Wikipedia:
Under John Batchelor:
>>The future of Batchelor’s program was left uncertain when Cumulus Media (who acquired WABC in 2011) announced it had acquired the broadcast rights to The Savage Nation for air in Batchelor’s current time slot beginning October 23, 2012. Whether Batchelor will continue with the weekend edition of the program is unknown.
Under The Savage Nation:
>>The Savage Nation will be revived on Cumulus Media Networks on October 23, the day the non-compete clause expires. It will air in a new timeslot, 9:00 PM to 12:00 midnight Eastern time, replacing the weeknight edition of John Batchelor’s newsmagazine.
I am going to miss Batchelor and Gordon Chang reports of the goings on in the Far East especially Red China -- actually the show was a great source of economic and international news in general.
KSFO has been trumpeting "the most famous radio personality ever is returning to where it all began" -- or something like that.
I'll miss it.

Yes, AllAccess is reporting Savage to start 3 hours later than before.
I’m glad. I liked Savage as a way to wrap up the day without having to say that useless politicians’ phrase “at the end of the day.” I was also starting to miss The Savage Nation threads here in the afternoon.
Don’t know how able I will be, however, to catch the show at 6PM - 9PM Pacific and be online too. Just too much happening between traffic snarls, dinner, late night projects, etc. We shall see.
I wonder why he simply couldn’t have gotten his old timeslot back. It worked great for West Coast commuters and East Coast day-enders.
Here’s where I read of the “time change”:

Savage is an independent conservative of a type you don’t hear anywhere else on the radio.
Savage will own the time slot. And Cumulus owns some fairly substantial stations; it’s likely they’ll want to have Dr. Savage on their O&Os.
With John Batchelor following Savage. Powerful lineup, potentially.
Savage and Levin are known to dislike each other. I wonder how Levin will feel about being his lead-in.
Rumor is that Cumulus is going to move Batchelor back 3 hours and have him follow Savage.

I think Levin could care less about the Savage show following his show. By the time 9pm rolls around, Mark turns off his mic and radio and watches his pal Hannity on FNC...
Great news!! Better than that “Doyle” guy, lol.
