For a Chicago sports nut, President Obama is spending an awful lot of time watching the District of Columbia's sports teams.
Obama's spokesman said that the president thought Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III's performance in Sunday's game against the Vikings was "remarkable" and helped boost the city's spirits after a dispiriting Nationals playoff loss last week.
Obama "did comment on the restoration of faith in Washington sports teams created by RGIIIs remarkable performance in the Redskins game,"

Make it stop. Enough of this idiot in the White House.
So Obama didn’t mention Rex Grossman’s performance the week before?
Racist!
He prefers watching sports team to the unemployed mega-population he has done so much to create.
sigh..
Oh Come on.. Man!
Obama sympathizes with a good stiff kick upside the head..
RG3 is headed to an early career-ender under the new dictate of protecting players from head and other serious injuries that have cost the NFL owners a lot of dough.
Obama is up for the next swift kick Tuesday, while RG3 will be mending with a win under his belt..
Both will likely make the playoffs so a future rematch looms.. hope RG3 is still around, not sure about Obama. ;-)
There was a story earlier about his opinion on the Nikki Minaj / Mariah Carey feud. The man is easily distracted by trivialities like this. The press may try to play it up as him being “cool” and connected to popular culture and sports but the reality is that it shows him to be a very intellectually shallow man who can’t focus on important things.
Pres__ent 0bama: Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey can sort out 'Idol' feud ...
So send him packing in November and he can pursue his Dream Job at ESPN...
All this means is that he is not really preparing for the debate and is instead laying around smoking crack, pot, drinking, being a layabout, watching TV, etc.
@nd TKO coming tommorow night.

RGIII is on a short leash.
He will last a few more seasons then will be done, probably with concusion related permanent damage.
Zero just can’t keep his gayness in check.
SO the President thinks one Quarterback restores faith to the cities sports fans though they have yet to win anything? What about the Washington Senators and the run they had actually going to the playoffs? What is the difference between the two? I think we have all seen that card played for four years!
Glad that he is staying abreast of, and weighing in on all the important issues like this and American Idol drama. Who cares about meaningless stuff like Russia, Israel, China, Benghazi or jobs anyway? Has he commented on the return of the Munsters show yet?
When asked about Benghazi and the battle for Ohio, Obama replied:
“I really thought they would beat the Browns yesterday”
Why does this megalomaniac have to inject himself into everything? Can’t he leave us alone to enjoy the NFL? I guess he’ll show up at a World Series game too!
On a side note I cancelled my subsciption to Sports Illustrated last week. Their article on RGIII (1) compared his arrival in DC to the arrival of another black man in 2008 , ahem; and (2) quoted extensively Marion Berry ... I get the magazine to read about sports, not politics. But I swear in the last four issues you can’t read any article without mention of obama or michelle. Again in the latest issue the piece on the Notre Dame LB who attended Punahou in Hawaii, yes he went to ‘barack Obama’s high school’. Aaaagh!
0 doesn’t know Jack about football, throws a baseball like a fifth grade girl and should just leave sports to those who have a genuine interest in it.
I notice no mention of Drew Brees’ record-breaking touchdown pass last week. N’Orleans is also a ‘chocolate’ city, is it not? You wouldn’t be ignoring this piece of history because Mr. Brees is white, would you 0?
