Actually, this is sort-of accurate. No doubt there are values down underneath his record, but it's so hard to tell what Romney believes after 20 years of running for public office in Taxachusetts.

I suspect he has so firmly staked himself out as a liberal, he'll never be able to sell even a genuine conservative value.

Moreover, he's a "pragmatist" which means he's willing to accept at face value all the psywar and propaganda-warfare b.s. put out by the Left in the last 20 years, selling the idea that "society is moving to the Left" because NEA leftists have been brainwashing schoolkids -- who then get out of school and begin to learn the truth.

Meanwhile, Romney will do zippo to remove the fiat social-policy decisions that have disfigured public life for nearly 20 years now.

The sentence that screamed projection to me what the concept that Romney is a “cipher.” Not to see that same characteristic in Obama is incredible. What you write about Romney is on target, too.
