Wow. I didn’t know about this story. After reading it, I’m ashamed to say that I am a lawyer (though I can’t practice here).

In any case, prayers to Mr. Specter’s family—and to Ms. Maddux’s family. What a horrible crime.

With the perspective of time it is interesting to see how the true nature of a man shapes his life no matter how he may try to cloak it.

When I look at Specter's life I see a remarkable consistency in the way he dealt with challenge, adversity and tests of his character. He seemed to instictively sacrifice principle and truth for temporary advantage.

In plain English, he was slimey.
