While I certainly do NOT want Obama to win....I am stunned at the utter idiocy of his campaign. To go on Comedy Central instead of respected news shows is a severe miscalculation in strategy and the polls.

Yup, he ain't winning over any Indies that way. And right now there's actually a non-zero chance Jon Stewart will hit him with a question he can't answer (seriously; it won't be a hostile interview but he might not just fawn over him).

Won’t it be hilarious if Stewart gets off on a wild hare and just skewers Obama?

He still is chasing the youth and young-adult / hipster vote.
After so many visits, I would think they would start to be REPELLED by him.

Maybe this will make Obama’s friend David Letterman jealous and Dave will start making anti-Obama jokes like Jay Leno and Bill Maher.
Appearing on a comedy show at this time during a presidential campaign? The only way it makes sense is if Bibi Netanyahu is planning to be in town at the same time and Obama needs an excuse not to meet with him.
To: ColdOne
At this point, the only conclusion I can logically make is that the Dems know the kind of financial cliff that’s coming and they’re deliberately throwing the election in order that Romney and the Repubs get saddled with the blame for it. Nothing else can explain this kind of lunatic tone-deafness.

Too busy to read intelligence briefings (AKA, Libya), but plenty of time for chat shows.
He will have lots of time for these appearances after election day, me thinks.

Obama visits Jon Stewart - Romney visits Billy Graham.
I’ll take the latter thank you!

Jon Stewart should invite Benjamin Netanyahu to appear on the show at the same time.

Maybe he knows how bad he’s really doing and is trying to channel Bill Clinton. Too bad the only horn he can blow won’t be appropriate for regular TV...
