I don’t quite ‘get’ the polling on this one. Condescending chortles, interuption, and talking over your opponent don’t equate to getting your ideas in front of the American public.
And, I reject the meme that Ryan was put on the defensive the entire night....the nature of the election automatically puts the current administration on the defensive.
Ryan did look nervous at times, and he left some things unanswered. I especially wished he would admonish Biden for repeatedly saying ‘you guys need to take responsibility’...for what? Romney hasn’t held elected office for years...and all these phantom cuts Ryan voted for never became law...because the senate hasn’t taken up a budget in years.
Oh well...but oddly, once again the American public has witnessed Barry’s penchant for letting other people do the hard work. The more the media shout about how great Joe did, the more we are reminded that Obama isn’t ready for prime time. Biden, Romney, AND Ryan have outperformed him.

Quite apparent that Axelrod had a lot of input into Biden’s debate prep: short on facts - well, legitimate facts - and long on bully and diversion tactics.
I’ve been thinking over a few things. I was rather upset that Paul didn’t comeback with some zingers when the opportunities were there. However, I’ve come to the conclusion that he just let Biden act out and let the American public see for themselves what a buffoon he really is. Sort of like ignoring your child when he/she acts up and not giving in. When they settle down, then you have a conversation. I really think they wanted Paul to react so that Biden could deliver what they thought would be a true knock-out punch and Paul didn’t give him the satisfaction. I also think Paul just wanted to get it over with and get the heck out of there. He was tag-teamed.
