ABC News White House correspondent Jake Tapper asks White House press secretary Jay Carney about the timeline of events in respect to the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.
TAPPER: President Obama, shortly after the attack told "60 Minutes" that regarding Mitt Romney's response to the attacks, specifically in Egypt, the president said that Romney has a tendency to "shoot first and aim later." The admins fall back is that the protests in Egypt were in reaction to the video.
However, this is not entirely accurate either... the protests in Egypt were pre-planned and announced on Aug 30th. As some news agencies reported, the shouts from the protesters were “Obama, Obama we are all Osama.” That slogan was repeated in the protests in Tunisia etc.
The video itself was used as a get out the protest presence on Sept 8th.
The point being, that the admin should have been aware of the PLANNED protests in Egypt, which seemingly they were NOT as events were allowed to escalate.
