RE: Red herring argument. Arab Christians don’t use the phrase, “There is no God but Allah.” That is an Islamic phrase, not Christian.
Agreed. But an oily snake oil salesman like Obama will argue that like Muslims, he agrees with the SENTIMENT of the phrase but believes in the Christian God ( as TRADITIONALLY used by Arabic Christians ).
It’s going to be hard to convince true believes in Obama otherwise.

Wore this ring at least since law school and was then put on his finger by his lovely bride. Lovely bride?
Barry had a lovely bride?

Someone should ask him why he is wearing such a ring? I guess his answer would be: uh, oh, umm, uh, mmm, err, duh......

Right.... unless you're an Arabic-speaking Christian. Arabic Christians have more historic "right" to use this word than Muslims do, since Arabic Christians were using the word "Allah" for 500+ years before the birth of Mohammad, ever since the Apostle Paul preached to the Arabs in the first century AD (Ref: Galatians 1:17 "...I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.")
Ten million Arabic-speaking Christians use the Arabic word for "God," which is "Allah". You probably use it too. It is found in the word "alleluia"

Regardless, that ring is probably the ugliest wedding band I’ve seen. Totally uncool.

This ring is very damning to obamma’s claim he is not a moslem! I hope Drudge runs it tomorrow front and center! Let it sit there all day!

RE: Someone should ask him why he is wearing such a ring?
He could always answer — “I thought it was cool.”

I agree as to the first part: In attending Divine Liturgy at an Antiochian Orthodox parish some years ago I heard a communion hymn that seemed to reflect the use of that Arabic name.
That said, I thought the etymology of alleluia was as described here, but I am not an expert.

A LOT of people have Asian kanji tattoos too--in letters they don't understand, but that doesn't make them Buddhist. Not in this case. Anyone who can cite the call to prayer in perfect dialect and say it is the prettiest sound on earth damn sure knows what the islamic inscription on a ring means.

Arabic-speaking Jews do. It's the shema. I have no particular reason to respect Islam, but to be fair, the profession of the oneness of G-d translates to "There is no G-d but G-d." The Jewish profession of faith "Shema Yisroel. Adonai Elohenu, Adonai ehad." "Hear O Israel. The Lord our God, the Lord is one." In Arabic, you get the equivalent of "There is no Allah but Allah."
Do not misunderstands me. This is just linguistic equivalence. That is not to say that the character of God, the laws of God, the nature of God is just the same in Islam, Judaism and Christianity. Not at all.
I think the Islamic idea of God is seriously distorted. In his Regensburg Lecture in 2006, Pope Benedict XVI used the Greek word "Logos" for God, which is, of course, found at the beginning of the Gospel of John, and translates "Word," connoting reason as well (the root word of "Logic".)
Benedict asked, in all sincerity, whether "reason" was a common basis for dialogue (that root-word "logos" again) between religions, and sectors of the Muslim world responded with rioting across 3 continents, leaving 19 dead.
Which was an answer, of sorts.

Remember. a couple of years ago when Obama didn’t wear his wedding ring for a while. Some story about it was sent out to the jeweler’s or something. I couldn’t imagine then what jeweler wouldn’t have returned the ring immediately...I mean, it was the President’s ring, not just some average guy on the street. What could have taken so long to repair a ring for such an important customer? But, anyway...I wonder what that was all about? Was that during Ramadan, when Muslims aren’t supposed to wear jewelery? I can’t remember the time, either, LOL.

That explains a lot!
There is nothing about this in the mainstream media. Do you think CBS will ever run a story on it?

Allah is none other than BAAL of the Old Testament... repackaged and resold to the blinded masses...
Obama, who like the pharaoh of Egypt that arose that knew not Joseph, nor the God of his fathers, was wicked and enslaved the Israelites.
Exodus 1:8-9
"There arose a new king over Egypt, who knew not Joseph." signifies he came to the throne; denoting his appearance in history, as in Deuteronomy 34:10. A "new king"; the other ancient versions, rex novus) is a king who follows different principles of government from his predecessors. Cf., "new gods," in distinction from the God that their fathers had worshipped, Judges 5:8; Deuteronomy 32:17. That this king belonged to a new dynasty, as the majority of commentators follow Josephus
then Ramesses, who was succeeded by Ramesses Miamun, here called the new king, because, as the Jews (l) say, new decrees were made in his time; and this Pharaoh, under whom Moses was born, they call Talma (m), and with Artapanus (n) his name is Palmanothes: which knew not Joseph; which is not to be understood of ignorance of his person, whom he could not know; nor of the history of him, and of the benefits done by him to the Egyptian nation, though, no doubt, this was among their records, and which, one would think, he could not but know; or rather, he had no regard to the memory of Joseph; and so to his family and kindred, the whole people of Israel: he acknowledged not the favours of Joseph to his nation, ungratefully neglected them, and showed no respect to his posterity, and those in connection with him, on his account; though, if a stranger, it is not to be wondered at.
Sound familiar?

Some interesting Bible passages:
Daniel 11
37 He shall give no heed to the gods of his fathers, [Chemosh, Molech] or to the one beloved by women; [Ashtoreth] he shall not give heed to any other god, for he shall magnify himself above all.
38 He shall honor the god of fortresses instead of these; [Allah] a god whom his fathers did not know he shall honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and costly gifts.
39 He shall deal with the strongest fortresses by the help of a foreign god; [Allah] those who acknowledge him he shall magnify with honor. He shall make them rulers over many and shall divide the land for a price.
2 Kings 23
13 The king also desecrated the high places that were east of Jerusalem on the south of the Hill of Corruption--the ones Solomon king of Israel had built for Ashtoreth the vile goddess of the Sidonians, for Chemosh the vile god of Moab, and for Molech the detestable god of the people of Ammon. (The Ammonite and Moabite god was none other than Baal)
Some free thinking food for thought... Peace
