I remember how I read about Gwen Ifil(Who moderated the VP Debate in 2008) was writing a book soon after about Obama(Gwen was and still is a big Obot) but even after finding that all out and even though I despise the woman, I thought she did a good job moderating the debate. So it might be the case here with this woman but I’m not sure I dont know anything about her

Yeah I thought the same thing was going to happen with Jim Lehrer in last weeks debate. Being from PBS and knowing his other colleague there none other than Bill Moyers, I figured he was just as big of a lefty as him. He probably is but seems to be able to portray a more balanced and unbiased view. I didn’t notice him favoring one person or the other in the debate like I waqs expecting.

Good point. However left-leaning they are, these professional journalists all care about their reputations and being an obviously biased moderator for some nebulous short-term advantage would certainly not help them in the long run.

Besides, even if she wanted to help Biden (and indirectly, Obama), there is only so much you can do for an obvious idiot without being considered an idiot yourself.

Let Biden be Biden and ...Obama is in big trouble.

And to think he is only one heartbeat away from being President of the United States; there has just got to be a better way to select these office holders.

When Mark Shields immediately threw cold water on Romney’s acceptance speech at the convention, Gwen interrupted him and said she was having a great time, and the convention was a lot of fun. She seemed to be going out of her way to provide some balanced coverage.
