Yes, he thought Romney would be the same kind of pushover that McCain was. In fact, he thinks all white, male GOPers are easy to roll. Why wouldn't he, dealing with Boehner and McConnel. Obama figured he could do his passive/aggressive insult shtick just as he did with McCain in the debates and in the stimulus meetings.
