I guess they thought they would be able to count on the old media to ignore this one just as it has ignored the last 30 scandals.

So far, they are right. Except for political freaks like us, noone knows about this.

They figured they could, with the help of the media, keep it covered up until after the election. After the election, they don't care what comes out.
