Since last week, the news sphere has been buzzing about the possibility of an Obama campaign foreign donor scandal being the big October surprise of 2012. Since the Washington Examiner first reported the story last week, many are asking how the Obama campaign will handle foreign donation allegations expected to go public Monday in a major magazine and national website story. The Obama campaign has already tried to block the story from publication and although the details of the scandal are still under wraps, we do know taxes and unsecured credit card transactions are about to cause a major headache for the Obama campaign.
Just yesterday, we received news the Obama campaign raised a whopping $181 million in September alone, pulling the question of foreign donations even closer to the surface and putting Obama closer than ever to reaching a $1 billion fundraising number.
U.S. President Barack Obama's campaign and the Democratic Party have raised $181 million in September for his re-election effort - their highest monthly total yet of the 2012 presidential race.
The president's campaign said Saturday that the money represents donations from more than 1.8 million people.
Stay tuned.....the story could come as early as Sunday night, rather than Monday morning as originally planned.
Nothing, absolutely noting came of it then. Why should anything come of it now?
OK, I haven’t read any of the posts yet, so I might be all wet. I don’t think it’ll have any effect at all, no matter how large it gets. Obama had a big foreign donor scandal in ‘08 and it made no difference.
Now, on to the rest of the posts....
I looked into that. Evidently he can use that money for stuff like defending the claim that he was born in the US.....in other words legal fees which he may have a bunch of after he loses.
“Now you know why Obama has been e-mailing everyone in the country for donations as tiny as $3.”
Now that makes sense! Good job. You could be right.
I got this story confused with the WND story about Obama sending arms to rebels in the middle east and the possibility they used them to kill people in the Libyan embassy including the ambassador. A lot of Obama scandals going around.
If it is not reported, it will not be an issue.
Foreign donors? Foreign donors? What foreign donors?
I think of WND as a reverse-Oracle when it comes to the MSM: If WND reports it, nobody else will touch it.
They won't need to handle it.
The MSM will handle it.
The same way the MSM handles all Obama’s scandals...
With complete silence.
This story isn’t going to go anywhere because the dominant media won’t let it. However, if Romney had any testicular fortitude he could bring it up in the next debate. Something like this might be interesting to see an answer to: “Credit card fraud is a multi-billion dollar problem in both the U.S. and the world at large. Why is it that your campaign does not even attempt elementary security for for donations made to it?
Require the soft ware send any undocumented money, regardless of amount, straight to the treasury department to pay down the debt.
“same corruption and fraud swirling around in 2008 “
Yup. and same coverup by the press-titutes
So you only “believe” stuff if you see it on the Goebbels/Mainstream Media?
Knock! Knock!
I’ll believe it when I see it, read it, hear about it ACTUALLY HAPPENING!!! Once reported (don’t care who or what outlet) it won’t mean a thing until there is action, consequences or outrage....something that’s been in short supply lately.
How many times have we’ve been teased with a “big story” only to fizzle out?
So, when I smell stink, I’ll believe it.
“Romney better be on his A+ skill next one...”
I’ve been saying the same thing too. I’m sure Obama has been verbally butt-reamed by David Axelrod, Michelle Obama and just about every member of the press corps for his poor performance.
Obama will come out on the offensive. He’ll try to hit Romney over issues like the “47%” comment, Bain Capital, etc. Prior to that, the media will do their part by trying to soften up Romney by reporting stories about so-called “dissension” in the Romney campaign or how Romney’s economic plan really doesn’t add up, etc. etc.
Romney had better be ready for the next debate because he’s gonna have everything but the kitchen sink thrown at him.
Well put!
