It is somewhat dismaying that fifteen or so years after the fall of the Iron curtain most Americans have totally forgotten that there were people risking their lives to escape Communist hell. My family was one, and we, due to being from an East-European communist country did go to the front of the line in the US Visa lottery.

Over the years we have had the Communist press in America (CBS, ABC, CNN, etc.) cover for Vietnam, Cambodia, Daniel Ortega (Reagan) in Nicaragua, Chavez in Venezuela, Zimbabwe, South Africa and now for the last four years here in the USA.

Some founder (Franklin?) said something about Democracy and freedom being nice if you can keep it.

Socialists, either from the Democrat party or RINOs are all after the same thing, telling everyone what to do, when to do it and how to do it. -short for Slavery.

Limited G’ment is the only answer. Anything else is a slippery road that get quickly traveled.

&&&&&

During the years of the USSR, the American media was as soft toward Communism as they are today about Obamaism. So, most Americans have no idea what the Soviet Union and the Eastern Bloc people actually lived through.

According to legend, as he was leaving Independence Hall after the Constitution had been finally finished and ratified, a lady who was in the large throng waiting for word on what happened called out—

“So, what kind of government have you given us, Mr. Franklin?”

According to lore, Franklin replied:

“A republic, Madam. If you can keep it.”

And it probably did happen that way because that’s how brilliant men speak, isn’t it.

Love your post, man. Every word of it is right frickin’ on,
