Senator Scott Brown has tried to distance himself from Governor Mitt Romney during this election, but Brown could get an important boost from Romneys debate performance Wednesday night.
Romneys dismal poll numbers in Massachusetts have been Browns biggest hurdle, so anything that makes Romney even slightly more competitive in the state could help Brown in a tight election against Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren.
Most observers have crowned Romney the victor of Wednesdays debate, though its uncertain what impact that will ultimately have on the presidential election.....
Warren on Wednesday night worked to align herself with Obama, sending frequent tweets cheering on the president. Those messages also underscored Browns relative silence on behalf of Romney.
Warren, no doubt, will be hoping for a stronger performance from Obama in the next debate, while Brown, perhaps quietly, will be rooting for Romney.

AND to the south:
“Republican Linda McMahon and Democrat Chris Murphy are essentially deadlocked in the Connecticut Senate race, according to the latest Quinnipiac University poll.
The survey of likely voters released Thursday morning shows McMahon with 48 percent, and Murphy at 47. The poll’s margin of error is plus or minus 2.4 percentage points.
The gender gap that has marked the race from the start the fact that women prefer Murphy and men favor McMahon continues to play out in the current poll. Men back McMahon 52 45 percent, while women favor Murphy 50 44 percent.
But in a troubling trend for Murphy, the poll also uncovered an “enthusiasm gap.” Half of McMahon backers are “very enthusiastic,” while 39 percent are “somewhat enthusiastic.” Among Murphy supporters, 27 percent described themselves as “very enthusiastic” and 55 percent are “somewhat enthusiastic.”
Also, unaffiliated voters are breaking Republican in this race. Fifty-two percent favor McMahon, 43 percent back Murphy. Unaffiliated voters make up the largest block of the Connecticut electorate.............”

Great opening line at your link:
“If last nights debate was a prizefight, it would have been stopped at 9:25 p.m....”
Could possibly help Akin too.
We need all three branches.
Yes, Brown, McMahon, Akin, and several shaky GOP freshmen seeking re-election are going to be swept over the victory line by Romney’s MASSIVE coattails. It’s going to happen. Count on it. If you want to roll up your sleeves and help, send ten dollars to each candidate named above. We’ve got them running. Now’s the time to turn it into a ROUT.
