You aren’t the only person thinking along those lines. During my years in military I was amazed by the ‘good old hayseeds’ that were underestimated and then out of nowhere delivered a knock out punch to those that differed with their position.

This is no time to let up. We (and especially Mitt) need to give 110% until the final buzzer.

I disagree with the idea that this is a "rope-a-dope" strategy and that he will deliver a knockout punch out of nowhere. Obama has demonstrated time and time again that he's just not that bright. Without a teleprompter, he is helpless.

Early voting has already started. It is too late for him to deliver a knockout punch, and even if it wasn't, a debate on foreign policy would be just about the last place he could do it. Even with a teleprompter, he cannot defend the indefensible.

However, I do agree that there is a risk, but I believe that risk is that the media will go to rabid and unethical (okay, even more rabid and unethical) lengths in the next debate to make 0 look good (or at least not like a blithering idiot).

I do believe that Romney's handlers are under no illusions that they should underestimated the tricks that they could play or pull on Romney or the Republicans, no one here thinks that... we would not put anything passed them.
That is not the discussion here, his performance in the debate, and his D.N.C. speech could be seen as the same thing.
Things that happened in Benghazi and the aftermath, and all the lies to the American people that this Administration told does not bode well for them and the news of Congressional hearings are coming up this week or next week.
Richard Nixon didn't rope-A-dope his way out of Watergate, rather he was forced to resign from office.
