Does anyone remember how upbeat were were around here going into the 2006 congressional elections???
We got our a$$e$ handed to us on a silver platter.
We were all convinced the media was wrong and we had a better feel for the country then they did. We were wrong.
I’m getting the same feeling going into this election.
Benjamin Franklin said something to the effect that, “I always expect the wort, and then when it doesn’t happen, I am pleasantly surprised.”
Uh.. Actually no. Republicans and conservatives of all stripes were moribund going into those elections.
Well you must of been at an different website. Around here most of us knew we were getting killed and were pissed at the RINO GOP house leadership for protecting, rather then burning, our political dead wood. We all knew we were in for an ass kicking in 2006 and 2008. We just tried to find something to keep hope alive. You really see anything in your day to day life that shows Democrats doing as well this year as they did in 2006 and 2008? I am always surprised by "conservatives" who after witnessing the hundred of politically corrupt pro Democrat spin stories in the National Media for decades suddenly start defining their reality by what ever the Mass Media is telling them at election time.
