It will take the marines to fix Detroit. Think Fallujah.

It must be the result of all the white racism.

The guys were saying simply “you didn’t build this”.

More evidence of why there are no stores in black urban areas.

Well, the store owners didn't build that business. Obama has told us: it's communal property. Why should those who get up and work every day have that business? Don't the shiftless and lazy deserve the same thing as everyone else? This is social justice.

“In June, the church’s pastor, Marvin Winans, lost a $15,000 Rolex, a Louis Vuitton wallet with $200 in it and his 2012 Infiniti QX56 SUV after he was carjacked by a mob of 10 black people at a similar convenience store nearby.”

I’m sorry the guy was attacked and robbed, obviously. And it’s his business what he spends his money on. Still, it always seems odd to me when a reverend or minister is so well-heeled. All the men of God I’ve known have been men of modest means.

I recommend the Strategic Air Command. I suspect the Marines would rather deal with angry Afghans.

I know people who could move a bee hive into the store...

A mob of 40 black people moved into a convenience store and will not leave. They say they now own it. They eat. Smoke. Cuss.Threaten. Spit. Rob. Sell drugs. All on video.

Won't remain convenient for long. Food desertification in real time.

If only Marlin Perkins were alive today...

Three out of seven deadly sins right there. Was the carjacking a hint?

It’s because they found an oasis in a food desert, ya know.

About the only solution the store owner could have here would be to emulate what gas stations do in bad areas. That is, the cashier is behind bulletproof glass and you do your business through the little window slot at the clerk’s booth.

Of course, that approach works a lot better for a gas station than a convenience store, because of the variety and size of goods a quicky-mart carries. But I figure it’s got to be better than getting “occupied” every day. The police have shown they either can’t or won’t do anything, and hiring security would be a joke. One security guard isn’t going to drive off a local gang of 30+ members.

Now, a few off-duty Detroit PD officers working security might do the trick, especially if they parked in their cruisers out front. But that’s a very expensive solution, if the PD would even allow it. I used to work as a manager in private security. An off-duty will run you $25-35/hour for a cushy assignment. For something like this place - bad area, risks involved, Detroit union rules, etc. - you’d probably be looking at least 50 bucks an hour, or $1200/day to have just one off-duty present at all times. No convenience store can afford that.

Were it me, I’d look to relocate. It’s a no-win situation for the owner.

Nuke the site from orbit, it’s the only way to be sure.

Why waste good Marines? Just wall the city in, drop a few loads of firearms, and let them sort it out their own way. Everytime LE tries to do anything effective, they get howled down by cries of “profiling!” or “racism!” and have to back off. Or the PD in Detroit is so corrupted that it’s useless. In light of all this, I wouldn’t waste the life of one Marine on them. Let them practice their no-snitch policy and reap the results for themselves.

These men are in “The God Business.” Just like Jesse and Al, and those phony white “pastors” with their mega churches down in Texas!

Wow. What kind of "Pastor" is that guy? Sounds like "Reverend" Wright.
