The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows President Obama attracting support from 50% of voters nationwide, while Mitt Romney earns the vote from 47%. Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate, and two percent (2%) are undecided. See daily tracking history.

These results include “leaners,” people who are initially uncommitted to the two leading candidates but lean towards one of them when asked a follow-up question. Platinum Members can still see the more detailed numbers along with demographic breakdowns, and additional information from the tracking poll on a daily basis.

Read you own tag line why any "true conservative" should be voting for Romney Take a look at this. Romney is our last Hail Mary pass.

We got one last chance to turn this around. Romney at least sees the problem in this chart. Obama thinks the problem is WE HAVE NOT SPENT ENOUGH!

FY 2007 was last Bush/GOP congress. 2011 was last 0bama/Dem Congress

No better for Romney without leaners. Rass merely is adding leaners to his polls from now to election day

Not really. In 2008 most Dem voters in OH got absentee request forms sent out to them, while most GOP voters did not. This year it’s even. Also, ACORN isn’t about in the same way. Finally, Obama won by a lot in 2008.

50% of voters nationwide, while Mitt Romney earns the vote from 47%. Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate, and two percent (2%)

Which = 101%

Someone or group got rounded up.

Exactly. My first thought was that this is a statistical anomaly but then three other polls, coming out on the same day, say the same thing?

Wrong actually, check your info. Most large counties in 08 had absentee ballots mailed to all registered voters, dems, repubs and indies in those particular counties. We’ll leave the small counties out of it. So you can compare those large counties from 08 to 12. Simple comparison - even you can figure that. I would check big counties like cuyahoga and franklin and hamilton and montgomery. Check data within a county and you can come to reasonable conclusion that we are doing much better overall. You have however may not be - that I don’t know.

I think the sad fact is, there are enough true conservatives who, when in the booth, won't be able to pull the lever for Mitt due to their character and morals. This will tip it for Hussein.

Idiot.

Is this the first time he’s reached the 50% mark? We read no President has won reelection with numbers lower than 50%. He seemed to be flailing in the high 40’s which made me a bit more confident but this poll gives me the heebie jeebies even with the margin of error.

I don't know, StarFan... my head is swimming with all of the recent poll numbers. I don't know who/what polling firm to believe anymore.

Rush just said that "Obama has never reached 50% in any poll so far", yet here is today's Rasmussen poll (and Rush's #1 trusted polling firm is Rasmussen).

I don't know what to think...

Their fear is that a CONSERVATIVE, a TRUE Conservative could possibly be elected to the second highest job in the the United States and second in line to the presidency.

They are, desperately, trying to lure Conservatives away from even thinking about the political movement in 2010 and they use their pollsters to accomplish that. Their complicit pollsters are doing everything possible to PLEASE THEIR CUSTOMERS... the media... the newspapers... the pundits...television anchors... liberals... and rino members of Congress. It is an all out assault to undermine American values and beliefs. THEIR movement would be the envy of the most ardent propagandist.

Have faith.

52% want Obamacare repealed, but they still want Obama anyway. Americans have lost their sanity.

The Republicans completely neutralized that advantage by nominating the grandfather of Obamacare. No matter how much the Romney people try to emphasize differences between Obamacare and Romneycare, most observers see these as differences without distinctions. Maybe it is the Republicans (and most likely the GOP-e) who have lost their sanity?

Obama at 50 today is a rounding error by Rassmussen

Rassmussen has the poll saying 50% O/47% R/ 2% Other/ 2% Undecided.

That is 101%

[That is 101%]

Ras doesn’t worry about percentages that much, a percentage point here, a percentage point there...don’t worry about it.

The agenda is what’s important to him and his ‘brother pollsters’.

did you not see the internals that were on drudge over the weekend, ir is not on rasmussen any more but it is still in the drudge archive.

43% of voters certain they will vote for Romney. 42% certain they will vote for Obama. Remaining 15% either uncommitted or open to changing mind,
Among voters who are uncommitted to either of the leading candidates, just 10% believe the country is heading in the right direction. Only 24% approve of the way the president is performing his job.

"Scott seems to be pulling D+3 to err on the democratic side."

Actually, wasn't there a thread with 'wing' and the poll crew that pretty much sussed out that has been Ras set linear? So far so good afaic. Mittens has to make it happen from here. 50-yard-line, two-minute drill, two timeouts, opponent prone to penalties.

"I wonder if Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan were running in 1988, would they have used the Willy Horton ad? Probably not. They would have preferred to lose to Dukakis. Just my opinion."

Keep in mind that came from Gore. A freebie. Bobo had no primary opponent (well, there was that felon in W. Va. who got 41%).

“Baloney.”

I say “baloney” back at you.

It’s just another far left liberal/socialist running against another liberal/moderate. Romney is just another establishment RINO who’s gotten to his turn to run. A true conservative would be winning and would not put up with the left’s media BS. Until the establishment GOP is defeated by consevatives or a new conservative party sends the RINO party into history, this vote for the lesser of the liberals will continue.
