Exactly this is "the" big question about Bengazhigate.Did Ambassador Stevens become a liability? And what happened next? Did his involvement in getting weapons to the supposed freedom fighters trying to take out Gaddafi who turned out to be terrorists(and when did the adm. know who these guys were) finally become a huge liability for the regime.So big they may have indeed looked the other way or even assisted terror types who desperately wanted to kill and torture an American ambassador/infidel/gay who dared to try and take away their weapons.
And as you say only one plane has to be taken down for all hell to break loose and no telling how much or what kind of weapons are out there now.
