And all the people who’ve lost their jobs and homes aren’t having hard times?
And all the people whove lost their jobs and homes arent having hard times?”
Of course they are. You must have missed two words in my response, “too often...” A patient of one of my doc’s today said she couldn’t pay her bill this month ($25 on a $300 balance) because she she was really financially strapped. I inquired if she had lost her job - no, but her cable bill went up and she needed to pay for the upgrade on her son’s cell phone. My grandson’s shoes are worn out so I took him to get a new pair. Another teenager whose mother was trying to get him some shoes was having a fit because he simply couldn’t wear such cheap shoes so they left to go to a store where they could by a more expensive pair.
These are the “you don’t know hard times” people I am talking about. My heart aches for people who have lost their jobs. I know how hard it is to work two full-time jobs at $10 an hour rather one at $20 an hour. There are lots of people who haven’t lost their jobs that are also having a hard time. And then there are those that had no Plan B or failed to save anything for a rainy day.
Certainly getting Obama out of the White House will help a whole lot but things are not going to turn around overnight. We simply must believe that God will help us through this and have faith and trust in him. I certainly know I have no other choice.
