I heard a report as I was finishing my shift that Texas lost just over 6% of trees to the drought. One area lost over 10% last year.

Good afternoon, Kathy...((HUGS))..Job fair yesterday and today.

In the middle of all this I'm battling with the state Unemployment because they ant information file copies on Vacation, Sick Leave, and any Severance from a year ago.

Have to try and get a copy from my last employer HR Dept, located back East

The irritation part is that all this was supplied to them when I was laid off in 2011.

If they, the state would get off their duff and check their files and pull their heads out of their rear ends, they would probably find it all. (That's the kindest description that I have)

You were too kind.....those “agencies” ALWAYS want someone else to do their work.

Even worse,...when you try to call and talk to them to meet a suspense that they have set if you are lucky enough to get through, you get a recorded message to leave your name and number as all personnel are busy and that they'll call back in 48 hrs.

Understood....it seems that all government agencies are “always busy”. And I don’t think they check messages very often either.

If you're lucky enough to get a call back the individual on the other end talks to fast, doesn't enunciate their words properly, and the line is a lousy line,

And English may not be their first language!

and they talk 90 miles a minute too boot!
