I don't live in Missouri; I live in Virginia. I do want Akin to win, but he is a seasoned politician and he showed himself to have a tin ear. If he wins, good for him and us, but I am so tired of defending stupid politicians. If he loses, he can only blame himself.

I have to mention, the fact that Claire wanted to run against him tells me he probably has a history of odd statements or behavior.

The fact that Claire wants to run against him is only because she can pound away at his ill-conceived statement and use it to her advantage.

Not sure what Akin’s history is for making stupid comments or his odd behavior. I would think something would have come to light by now.
