Probably about 1 in 20 men, 1 in 30-40 women, but it wouldn’t surprise me if the numbers are increasing. Where I am, in the Northeast, the number of young adults seems to be greater, and transgender types appear to be exploding in numbers.
A little tough to study historically because of the stigma, but I think most studies find in the 3-10% range.

Ever study I have read says 1-1.5% actual numbers.
There has been ‘gay is cool’ element for young people, especially females however by adulthood that phase is out grown.
