This is a very encouraging article. Hopefully Mitt can show an engaging personality in the debates and close the deal.

Romney has it in the bag. The latest trick (if you’ll notice) is to undersample Indies so that the D/R skew doesn’t look so bad any more. But by undersampling Indies they take net votes away from Romney. You will see samples look like 43/40/17 - instead of 36/34/30.

Romney has apparently survived the 47% “scandal”, although the MSM would like to keep it going. If he keeps the gaffes to a minimum, he just may win.

“If he keeps the gaffes to a minimum, he just may win.”

The problem with that is anything Mitt says the msm will turn it into a gaffe. Truth and facts means nothing to the msm.

They were talking about the polls on O’Reilly(Yeah I know I shouldn’t even bother watching that nonsense) and even Brit Hume fell for the BS Wisconsin poll which shows Obama leading by 12+ points..first of all, HELLO BRIT USE SOME COMMON SENSE..if Obama is leading by 12 points in Wisconsin why the hell is he campaigning there..you don’t campaign in a state if your leading by THAT MUCH..and another question, why the hell am I being bombarded with Obama Ads here in California, yes, California, a state Obama should win by 15 points I am seeing non stop Obama Ads

That's true, but if he does well in the debates, the MSM will have a difficult time covering it up. If he is successful in pointing out that the economy was doing OK until the Dems took control of Congress in 2007, and that the Dems had plenty to do with causing the mortgage meltdown, then he may have a very good chance. Time will tell.

Hi Geron!

Same-old skewed polling... always check to see latest qstarnews poll released today - Obama 45, Romney 51.

And don't forget to check Obamoron's total disapproval rating - running at 54 today - but at 63 two days ago.

The poll, and the analysis, seem to be saying that Obama is winning because a lot of people are setting aside positions on issues and/or various environmental factors (like the state of the economy) and indicating that they'll vote for the guy they'd like to have a beer with.

That's not an unreasonable explanation for what we're seeing right now with these polls. I mean, yes, it indicates a high degree of stupidity among people - it amounts to saying "well, if I could afford to buy a beer, I'd prefer to have one with the guy preventing me from having enough money to buy a beer" ... but there's a whole heck of a lot of stupid out there in the electorate.

Someone should explain to them that the Republican Party is the party of the Stupid.

That would help.

The voting has already started. I’m one of any who votes weeks before the election.

You know I keep hearing this tripe about Romney not being ‘likeable’. When folks get into the voting booth, after they’ve just spent $60.00 filling up their car’s gas tank, or talking to their neighbor about their just graduated son who can’t find a job in his field, the fact that Mitt isn’t a ‘cool guy’ probably won’t matter a hill of beans. They’ll remember he is a successful business man, and that Obama was NOT a successful President.
